Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia casinos that lie just across the dividing line from next door Thailand, where gambling den wagering is illegal. Eight gambling dens are based in a relatively tiny location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia casinos is in a prime location, a three to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest betting locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai laborers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The amazing income accrued from the casinos ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a couple of limitations constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is assumed to be mainly Thai; although, financial sources are cryptic. The borders are formally open from 0900 to 17:00, and although visas are allegedly required to pass, there are ways around this, as is accurate of many border crossings.

The 1st Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in 1998, leaving just one casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored barge gambling den, highlights one hundred and fifty slot machines and sixty table games. The Naga gambling den is open all day and night with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, four tables of twenty-one, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown soon opened. There are 150 slots and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machine games and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights three hundred slots and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and 66 of the normal tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, again a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slots and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around resort and hotel building that highlights many amenities in addition to the gambling den, which has 10,000 sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machines and 88 tables.
